NZTA MR13 Form Explained — What It Does and How We Use It

The NZTA MR13 is the Disposal/Acquisition Notice for motor vehicles. It transfers ownership of a vehicle from the seller to the buyer on the NZTA Motor Vehicle Register. When we collect your vehicle in Whangarei, we complete the disposal section of the MR13 on site — your vehicle leaves your name on the day of collection. We then lodge the form with NZTA and you receive a confirmation within 3–5 business days. This is completed at no charge on every collection.
